Combined GLDA/GMDA Grand Finals
10 teams started the season and after playing each other 3 times the Top 5 teams contested the finals for “A” Grade and the bottom 5 teams the “B” Grade.
“A” Grade
SG1 & Breakaways hit the boards – some great darts were thrown by both teams but SG1 were victorious. The final score-line being 6 – 1.
SG1 was made up form the following players: - Nay, Chris, Simmy, Mark, Tick & Jane.
Jane threw the winning peg.
Breakaways were made up of the following: -
Brenda Foord, Mandy Ervacinovic, Hazel Spark, Norma Stephenson, Glen Heap & Shelley Spark.
Throughout the night the players and spectators were supplied with a lovely supper provided by a small team of ladies led by Dot
“B” Grade
RSL Blues consisting of Jamie, Amyleigh, Terry, Cheryl, Ben & Donna hit the boards against Cobra’s: Wayne, Toni, Greg, Kerry, Damo & Caitlyn, with the RSL Blues coming out victorious over the Cobra’s 6 – 2.
Amyleigh threw the winning peg.
Congratulation to all players – it was one of the best I’ve witnessed as far as sportsmanship goes - you should all be proud of your efforts.
Thank you to the Committee for all their work throughout the season – you don’t get enough recognition for all you do for the Leagues but you do it so effortlessly it is not surprising that everyone doesn’t pay much attention. Job Well Done!!!!!!!!!
And thank you for inviting me down to Geelong – it was a pleasure.
